Here is a recording i made of my kitchen hob igniting. I used a lighter to ignite the gas instead of the built in igniter as i didn't want the 'click click click" to ruin the recording of the flame. Sennheiser mkh 416 - sound devices 442 - tascam dr680. .
Quiet water dripping from a kitchen sink tap, with a rate going from approximately 99bpm down to 94bpm by the end of the recording. Captured with my smartphone's voice notes app. There's also some human voices in the background, possibly from another room or a tv.
Rubbing my finger across a kitchen knife. The knife has a smooth part and a part with little indents, so there are sounds with each sample. Recorded with my lumix g7 camera with rode video micro attached to it.

There's no significant background roomtone (no traffic, fridge hum or voices), just the exagerated cutlery movements, glasses and cups clingings, water sink, cabinets, fridge door and stuff. Kitchen cleaning and espresso machine cleaning: over several minutes you hear the cleaning of an espresso machine, cleaning all the metal parts of it and working with water and sponges. Recorder: zoom h4n with the internal mic on 48khz with 24bit.
Six or so ticks, then a single ding! as the timer goes off. Timer removed from an infra chef halogen oven during repair. Recorded with "voice notes" on an iphone and edited with "amadeus pro" on a mac, but don't hate it for that.
These bottle caps were hurled rapid-fire at a leaning tower of jugs in my kitchen. I recorded this using an akg condenser mic, and an m-box interface. These sounds were effected in protools with flanger, delay, and reverb.
